Emma Bryan is a graphic designer, teacher, textile fanatic, illustrator and mother amongst many other things. She works primarily in acrylic and watercolour to produce original mono-prints with mixed media elements taken from her collection of paraphernalia.
After my son was born, I set myself a challenge to paint a name painting to mark his 6 month birthday – for a new mum, this felt like a big thing to achieve. I painted his name illustrated with pictures of each of his favourite toys, and I loved doing it. The next step was painting name illustrations for my friends as gifts. One thing led to another and Rabbit Illustrations was born.
I was first introduced to pottery at an evening class in 2004. I loved it so much that I decided to carry on and share my enthusiasm with others. I’ve been painting since childhood and ceramics gave me another challenging and very tactile canvas to paint on. www.pots4u.com
“The apparent collage of works that Joe Palermo shows is a well defined style not only in the work itself, but in the cut of its works that are photos or digital paintings. There is always a light motive which shows the originality of his point of view.
Joe Palermo’s pictures range from something factual to fantasy and reflect the status of a society”.
