The Lying Kind – by Anthony Neilson

1 December@7:30 pm - 9:30 pm

Playing at Ram Jam Records, December 2019
The Kingston Theatre Company presents its second production The Lying Kind* by Anthony Neilson.
In this unrelentingly hilarious farce set on Christmas Eve, two unfortunate police officers must carry out one last task before they head home: tell an unsuspecting couple that their daughter has been killed on the motorway. Throw in a priest, two Carol’s, some presents and a grassroots paedophile hunting vigilante group and it’s just about as festive as very very black comedy can get!
“Why can’t good things be inevitable? Why can’t being happy or rich be inevitable? But they’re not it’s just rotten things like dying and getting ill…”
Expect torture, nudity, presents and many other household Christmas traditions as Neilson goes all outwith word play, slapstick and dark meaty human suffering.**
