What would you do if your guardian angel was someone you knew and saw every day? What if she was a friend from school rather than the majestical being of your imagination? See how the lives of five young people change when they discover the truth about angels. As part of KJDC’s ongoing policy of supporting young people in every aspect of theatre, the company has commissioned this new play by 15 year old Kingston schoolgirl, Gabrielle Prabhavalkar.

Kingston Junior Drama Company is an independent theatre group for young actors. We offer high quality drama training and regular performances. We present a range of original drama alongside new adaptations of literary classics. The focus of all our work is on the creative development of our young artists, and the fostering of a life-long enthusiasm for drama. Commitment is an essential requirement of joining KJDC. The company was established in 2007. We currently have one company rehearsing in Kingston on Tuesdays and one in Tolworth on Wednesdays. Previous productions: Paradise (2007 & 2013), Rough Play, Rediscovering Alice, Departures, The Fairyland Trials (2008 & 2013), The Family From One End Street, The Runaways, Wishes, My Universe, The Forest, Detention Room, The Secret Garden Project, Murder Mystery, Not Just a Number, Shadows, The Chimes, Zoe’s Big Day, Ghost of Summer, Daisies, Adventures in Space and Conversations in a Time of War.
Members of the company work professionally in theatre and television. We are also delighted to work regularly with MA Film Students from Kingston University on their film projects, and also welcome the regular input by students from the University’s prestigious Drama Department. In 2014 we partnered KT1 Management, a new agency run by Stephany Gardiner, that represents many of our young actors in their professional careers.
